Users
Users is the Settings tab where you manage membership — who is in the organization and what role they hold. It’s visible only to an admin or owner on the Team plan.
What you see
Section titled “What you see”- An Invite User button and a search box (filter members by name, email, or role).
- A members list. Each row shows:
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name & email | The member’s name and email address |
| Joined | When the member joined the organization |
| Role | Owner, Admin, or Member — a dropdown where you have permission, otherwise a read-only badge |
| Remove | Takes the member out of the organization |
- A Pending invitations list below it. Each pending invite shows the (masked) email, its accept window and expiry, how many times it was resent, delivery status, and role, with Resend and revoke actions.
Actions
Section titled “Actions”- Invite User — enter an email and a role (Admin or Member); Prism sends an email invitation. The recipient joins only after accepting it and setting a password.
- Change role — the role dropdown promotes or demotes between Admin and Member. Demoting an admin to member asks for confirmation.
- Resend — re-sends a pending invitation.
- Remove from org — removes the member. The account is not deleted and they can be invited again; the owner can’t be removed.
Invitation process
Section titled “Invitation process”-
Send an invite — click Invite User and choose an email and a role (Admin or Member). The Owner role can’t be assigned by invitation.
-
Accept and activate — Prism sends an email invitation. The recipient opens the link and sets a password to activate the account and join the organization; they have no access until they accept.
-
Accept window and expiry — an invite has two deadlines:
- Accept window — how long the current link can be accepted: 72 hours (3 days) from when it was sent or resent. Once it lapses the link expires, but Resend issues a fresh link and restarts the 72 hours.
- Expiry — the invitation’s absolute lifetime: 168 hours (7 days) from when it was first created. Resending does not extend this; once it passes, the invitation expires for good and the person must be invited again.
An expired or already-used link can’t be reused.
-
Resend — Resend sends a new link to someone who hasn’t activated yet; the previous link stops working once a new one goes out.
-
Decline — declining ends that invite, and the same organization can’t re-invite the person for 24 hours.
-
One at a time — if a person already has a pending invite, it must be accepted or declined before a new one can be sent.
